Brown Discharge

Alhumdulilah for this page, im always struggling with this topic.

Can I have some advice please
So in my monthly cycle, it usually starts with a little colouring (not blood) to indicate iv started then i get nothing for a day or two and then the flow.
For the past few months the time of indications of starting and the time I actually get a flow or even some bleeding in increasing.
So this month i had a little colouring on the 11th which is around the date I should come on.
The 11th was a last Friday, then i got nothing for the whole day all day saturday and Sunday absolutely nothing. Then one Monday I started to get a little and on Tuesday the flow started. Im still getting bits now, but my 10th day will be tomorrow around Zohar time, what do i do if i carry on getting some bleeding? As im thinking it will go over the 10 days because i didn’t get a flow or bleeding till towards the end on Monday.

From the details you have provided, the discharge you are seeing at the start of your cycle is brown. When discharge/spotting at the beginning of a cycle is not pink/red and the total bleeding exceeds 240 hours (ten days and nights), there is an allowance to discount this initial discharge.

If the discharge is pink/red, these days must be included within your menstruation (hayd). If the total time exceeds 240 hours, you must refer to your previous habit to determine which days are hayd.
