Coloured Discharge During Nifas

Assalamu alaikum, I hope you’re well InshAllah.
I finished my nifas and saw clear discharge and made ghusl and prayed my eisha salaah. However, after I prayed I saw yellow discharge. Does this mean I’ve finished my nifas or not? JazakAllah for your time

In the name of Allah, the Inspirer of truth

Any coloured discharge within the possible days of post-natal bleeding (nifas) other than clear or white, will be considered nifas. When looking at the colour of discharge, it is important that the sample is fresh and wet. If the discharge is looked at when it has dried, it has undergone a chemical reaction, altering its colour.

Therefore, if the yellow discharge was within 40 days after childbirth and it was seen when fresh and wet, it means nifas has not yet ended.

The above applies if you do not usually experience yellow coloured discharge in days of purity.

If you do experience yellow coloured discharge in days of purity, you can disregard it and nifas has ended.
