Is Spotting Part of Hayd

AssalamuAlaykum, from late few months I’m having blood spots before my actual menstruation start. Whenever I check sometime it’s very less red line like pen line sometimes there is nothing. It happens 2 days than my actual menstruation start until 6 days than on the seventh day very tiny spot so which is my hayd days and how should I pray my prayer.

Firstly, when looking at the colour of the discharge, it is important that the sample is fresh and wet. Secondly, any coloured discharge in the habitual days of bleeding, other than clear or white, is considered menstruation (hayd).

You have mentioned that you experience coloured discharge two days before your actual hayd. The ruling on whether the discharge before the flow is hayd or not will depend on how many days the spotting and the bleeding thereafter adds up to.

If it adds up to 240 hours (10 days and 10 nights) or less, than it will all be hayd. If it adds up to more than that, only the habitual days will hayd and the rest will be invalid blood (istihada).
