Sexual Intercourse During Hayd
I have long term vaginal bleeding.
Over 2 years.
My husband and I have always been sexually active and non penetrative intimacy continues.
HOWEVER We had intercourse intentiinally knowing that it is forbidden.
I searched IFTAA because thats what my local Mufti saab refers me to.
Its refering Taubah and penalty payment of 4,25 grams 24k gold. Currently the rate is £44.72 per gram.
I cannot afford that.
PLEASE HELP ME.

In the name of Allah, the Inspirer of truth
It is forbidden to have sexual intercourse whilst a woman is menstruating. If such a transgression takes place, both husband and wife should immediately repent and seek forgiveness. It is also recommended (mustahab) for the husband to give charity to any zakat-eligible recipient.
- If sexual intercourse occurs while the blood is red or during the beginning of menstruation (hayd), 1 dinar should be given. This is equivalent to 4.25 grams of gold, not 425 grams.
- If sexual intercourse occurs while the blood is yellow or during the middle/end of hayd, one-half of a dinar should be given. This is equivalent to 2.125 grams of gold.
